These questions were the background of a conference arranged by the Faculty of Theology at Uppsala University on the 30th of May to the 2nd of June 2007. The conference was a part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Carl von Linné. The theme of the conference was "Linneaus and Homo Religiosus - Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on the Biological Roots of Religious Awareness and Human Identity".
