500 $a"In 1980 I started keeping a record of various technical details, printing problems, etc., of all the books and other items I was printing. Over time, I began including other entries in this log--times and events which seemed important and worth recording, some of which are unrelated to Bird & Bull Press. So the log had also become a diary. The first part of this account, 'Two Birds with One Stone', was published in 1994 and covered the period between 1980-1993. John Randle at Whittington Press liked 'Two Birds' and reprinted edited portions of it in a 16 pp. section of 'Matrix' in 1995. He wanted me to print an insert and I provided one with continuing entries from March to October, 1994. These same six entries are necessarily included here, to maintain the continuity of the account ... "--Prefatory Note.
