Taylor disowned this almanac in an advertisement in The American weekly Mercury, Jan. 18/25, 1726, though admitting that the astronomical portion was his work.

Another advertisement, alleging slander and threatening prosecution, was published by Aaron Goforth in the Mercury for Dec. 28/Jan. 4.
