With facsimile reproduction of t.-p. and several other pages of the (manuscript) Arte doctrinal, j modo gl. para aprender la lengua matialtzinga ... An o D. 1638. This manuscript (in possession of the Sociedad Mexicana de Geografi a y Estadi stica) contains, besides several poems indubitably by Guevara, the well-known sonnet, "No me mueve," which has been variously attributed to St. Francis Xavier, Saint Teresa, and others. Carren o, maintaining that no trace of the sonnet can be found prior to 1638, ascribes it to Guevara.
