Part 1 corresponds in contents and arrangement to the Italian original; parts 2-3 are divided into 4 books each, in an arrangement entirely different from the original.
"El parecer que dio en este libro el Doctor Andreas Vesalio" (sig. [paragraph sign] 2r-v) is dated from Madrid, 18 December 1562.
This translation was previously published in Saragossa in 1563 by Antonio de Furno, whose dedication is retained in the present ed.
