ABSTRACT: This paper outlines the various slimes problems created from the increased use of hydraulic sandfill both regular and cemented, increased production, larger drill holes, and the many uses of water in underground mining. It also describes the many modifications made to the mine drainage and pumping systems, as well as the various slimes reduction, collection, disposal and cleaning methods.
