The amazing biography of Charles Crowie Smith, who was in and out of prison from age 14. Then at 30 years old he heard the Gospel and was converted in Derby, England, where his life was radically turned around. He bagan to preach all over England, sometimes dressed as a poacher (with a friend dressed as a policeman) and crowds would gather to hear him tell his true stories of his criminal past. He would then share the love of God and many would respond, becoming Christians themselves. He preached for the Salvation Army sometimes alongside General William Booth. From Poacher to Preacher was printed in about 1937 and 1000 copies were printed of the first edition.
