This paperback 64 page book was my late father's doctoral dissertation. The condition of the 3 copies I own is poor. I don't know what sort of information you want to describe his thesis. As I never learned how to decipher Sumerian temple documents, I'm not the person to ask. When I was still living in a Westchester County suburb of NYC, Mt. Vernon, an emeritus professor, an expert, from Yale translated the tablets I still own; some of them were used in the thesis. All I know is that they originaled in Drehem about 4000 years ago. Most of them are just bills of lading. For ex: 7 sheep,3 goats, etc. The professor is William W. Hallo. If you look on the Web under my Dad's name, Rabbi Elias Margolis, PhD, you may learn more.Sorry I can't be more explicit. Ruth M. Kaufmann
