An account of British POW [mostly RAF] experience from evacuation from Singapore through camps in Java, ship to Lombok, Ambon and Haruku [Haroke] and back to Java where they were liberated.
Published shartly after the war and a very detailed account of terrible experiences, starvation and privation.
My father was in the same group as Whiting and luckily for me, survived.
