A teenage girl comes home from school one day to find that her mother has been diagnosed with muliple sclerosis. As their lives are thrown into turmoil, every weakness in the family's interpersonal relationships is exposed and magnified. Unwilling and ill-prepared as they are, they must face harsh reality.
