After an airplane crash, eight people survived. However, it was thanks to the power of a mysterious stone which gives life to the dead creatures. As the stone is from a mountain in netherland, it is not allowed for people to keep the stone. Therefore, two emissaries are sent to the human world to get back the stone.

"Dasuto 8" was released in the weekly boys' magazine Shōnen Sandē in 1972 and "Baka 1" was also released in the same magazine in 1971.
The original title of "Dasuto 8" was "Dasuto 18" because the author first planned to draw 18 survivers. However, because of unpopularity among its readers, the editorial staff of the magazine decided to end the story. The author, who does not like to change the content or title for this set of his works, chose to change them so that the story can be more understandable.
