Edition Notes
Author was born in London, England, in 1927. After Military Service, following World War II, he began university studies with Professor Alexander Baykov (who had fled Russia at the onset of the Revolution in 1917) on Russian Economic History and Russian Literature at the University of Birmingham (UK). He later transferred to medical college in Dublin and graduated as a medical doctor in 1955. He traveled widely and taught in West Africa, South America, Central Europe (Fulbright Professor), and in India, China, and Japan.
