Edition Notes
The "Motion de M. de Cocherel" asks that Saint-Domingue be allowed to import flour from the United States to alleviate an alleged famine on the island.
The "Reponse des députés des manufactures & de commerce" is a reply to Cocherel's motion, and to several other documents. In the Réponse, the deputies deny that a famine exists on Saint-Domingue and that it affects blacks, and suggest other ways to alleviate the flour shortage.
"Appercu sur la constitution de Saint-Domingue" argues that Saint-Domingue is neither a colony nor a province of France, and that the island should have a special status and constitution.
