Edition Notes

Sibley's brigade as organized at San Antonio, Texas, in 1861 was composed of Reiley's 4th, Greens' 5th, and Steele's 7th regiment of Texas mounted volunteers. Waller's 13th battalion cavalry, organized at Hempstead, Texas, June 1, 1862, was attached to the brigade April 14, 1863. The brigade is also known as Green's and Hardeman's.
