330 pp, and 28 pp bibliogaphy. The book is the first literary assessment of the young Otto Bauns lyric and prose writings; he was a promising young writer and poet from Berlin. He fell in Sep 1918 in France during the last two months of WWI as a Second Lieutenant. He is of Jewish and gentile background, patriotic very much for Kaiser Wilhelm II and Braun voluntered a second time to go to the front after he was healed from his injuries and that's when he was killed in combat.
