This is essentially a new book based on the original Collectable Pencils and retitled Collecting Pencils. It has a new format and most of the images and text is completely rewritten. It is a book for those who wish to collect pencils and need to visualise the images of a wide range of examples. Cedar pencils are briefly included but the main emphasis is on mechanical pencils and not only expensive silver and gold examples. The less expensive varieties can also be fascinating and these are included. The book is dedicated to Sue Courtier who died shortly after the original edition was published.
