Much of the content is thought to be from the Italian jurist Bartolo of Sassoferrato.
Issued with (preceded by) another volume which is a Casus breves for the Codex, Institutiones, Novellae, and Libri feudorum (see LCCN 2011656459). The Basel edition, published in 1480, has continuous signatures (Cf. BM 15th cent., III, p. 727) and is usually listed as one work in bibliographies.
