Edition Notes
The Casus breves libri collationum and the Casus breves feudorum are attributed to Jacobus de Belviso and Baldo degli Ubaldi, respectively, in their explicits. Ubaldi is usually considered the author of the Casus breves in Codicem et Institutiones Justiniani, although that work has sometimes been attributed to Johannes de Turnhout.
Much of the content is thought to be from the Italian jurist Bartolo of Sassoferrato.
