It was intended as part of his Historia general de los hechos de los Castellanos en las islas y tierrafirme del mar oceano. The 14 maps that illustrate it were copied from the Madrid ed., while the 3 maps and in-text ill. for Le Maire are taken from De Bry. See Sabin.
