Iulio Castellon's dedication to Geronimo Ruiz de Corella on leaf [3]r is dated 20 Jan. 1614, suggesting 1614 as the earliest possible publication date for the Getty copy, rather than 1611 which appears on the photocopied title leaf.

T.p. vignette (IHS). Numerous woodcut diagrams, some full page, some with volvelles. Head-pieces of printer's ornaments. Decorated initials.

The title leaf of Getty copy has three ownership inscriptions in MS, apparently present on the leaf before the t.p. was photocopied onto it. That at head of title is largely trimmed away; that to right of the device reads: José del Villar, año de 1671; that on the verso reads: Soy de Don Jose de ?Praluze? y Almagan... Leaves 26-31 are also photocopies. Leaf 97 is wanting. The volvelles on leaves 54, 102, 117, 201 are wanting, and others have been supplied in pen & ink facsim.

Binding: old (but not original) limp vellum. Title written at head of spine. Remains of 2 pairs of ties at foredge.
