Work Description

On historical essays the early roots of SICULI are in Saturnia, a territory after time that called Italy. They used to live along coasts and had to left their home land when ellenic people reached Italy about 2000 - 1500 BC. At the age of War Troy we can see SICULI using east coast of SICILY and Malta as bases to fight in search of the wellness of Egypt and Hatti. Egyptian inscriptions called an list them as Sea Peoples or Islands Peoples. Their action in alliance with Shardana, Lybians, Tusci, Eqwes and others Sea Peoples lead Egypt to the first step toward the decline. SICULI had to remain on east cost of Sicily, from Zancle to Syracuse, hosting other Sea Peoples: Ionian and Dori.
