The image on the cover shows Geeta Bali -real name Harsimran Kaur- film actress, in a still from unfinished film based on the novel. She was to play the leading role of Rano the main character. Overwhelmed by her untimely death Rajinder Singh Bedi paid her the ultimate tribute by putting the novel in her burning pyre.
