"A short description of the American colonies belonging to the Crown of Great Britain" (p. 164-188) was first published in 1743 as part of the author's The British monarchy.
The plates, by George Bickham, Jr., are selected from the 46 which originally appeared in his father's The British monarchy. They were later published without the text under title: A curious antique collection of birds-eye views of the several counties in England & Wales.
