Sara and Paul Mandale are a happily married couple living on the outskirts of London. Suddenly Sara’s peace and tranquillity are shattered - for she is told by Tony Gray that Paul had been married before, in Australia, and that his former wife, Elizabeth, had been killed. Sara is deeply shocked; but she is overwhelmed with grief and confusion when she discovers from Paul himself that he was tried and acquitted in an Australian court following Elizabeth’s murder.
In the almost tragic events that follow, Paul and his former brother-in-law Tony, Sara and her sister Jane, are the victims of a misunderstanding before the way to happiness is made clear.
