A 41-page pamphlet introducing the new "speed-ball" pen, which will interest anyone who's ever created fonts or played with lettering. I'm including some text excerpts, but the charm of this book is in its graphics.

The marking point of the "speed-ball" pen is a perfectly square, flat shoe and when held at right angles with the paper it produces a square dot, "THUS" and when stroke is continued, in any direction, it is of even thickness throughout, the flow of ink or color being Automatically Controlled.

In these days of felt-tip markers, remind yourself what a revolutionary product the Speed-ball was at the time, and admire the elegant fonts and borders it enabled.
With ordinary use, a "Speed Ball" pen can be used for months, but it is not a shovel, so do not dig it into the surface.
