Bütsantsist Bütsantsini

Suurvene möttelaadi olemus

From Byzantium to Byzantium. Russian Imperial Thought - A book on Russian and Soviet Foreign Political Thinking.
We should not be surprised, that in the decades following 1945 no new work on Russian and Soviet foreign political thought has been published in Hungary. After Panslavism, the first popular Russian great-power doctrine in the 19th century emerged: Russian Isolationism, Eurasian Imperialism also developed. The author, Géza Gecse draws primarily on Hungarian, Anglo-Saxon and Russian sources in researching Russian foreign political thought, which had great impact on European history. The original book in Hungarian came out in 2007 in Budapest. The new Estonian version, published in 2012 is a revised and improved work, supplemented with events which happened in Russia between 2007 and 2010.
