A war between the planet Nykarus and Earth raged on for five years. However, with the help from an old enemy of the Ny'Karin race, the war ends in defeat for Sor'an, Emperor of Nykarus. Many of the mother ships harbored humans in cryo-chambers. When the ships left, they took the people with them to another system; it is there that Chandra's story begins, on the planet Eur'leau.
Chandra was a part of the Ny'Karin collective when she was converted into a cyborg soldier during the war, her memory had been erased. After the war ended, Sor'an sends Chandra to a penal colony for her own protection. She possesses vital information that he does not want falling into enemy hands.
Chandra had been in solitary confinement for five years, then Sor'an sends for her to return to Nykarus. However slave pirates attack the prisoner transport ship and took Chandra to one of Eur'leau's moons, Dyna where she is sold at a slave auction.
Adara Sunn (the Madam) buys her and takes her to the city Mu where the physicians change her appearance, rehabilitate her making her look human again. She turns Chandra into one of her prostitutes. Five more years pass and Sor'an’s search for Chandra continues. His spies have found the information he has been searching for; so he pays Adara a visit. During their meeting, she reluctantly agrees to sell Chandra to him; however, she explains to him that Chandra will not take the news well, Adara persuades him to give Chandra a day or two, to say her goodbyes before he takes her to the planet Nykarus.
In the meantime, Adara orchestrates a plan. She strikes a deal with Xenos, a Javarin bounty hunter, from the planet Barunda. Xenos agrees to buy her. The next day Adara tells Chandra that she sold her to Xenos.
Chandra is devastated and in shock. She does not want to leave her friends behind and the life she has known for the past five years.
The next day, in the early morning hours, Xenos arrives at the brothel and takes Chandra with him. Her life at the brothel ends, but her QUEST to find the truth and fulfill her destiny begins…..
