Habib urRahman Al-Siddiqi [b. 31 March 1898, Mairath; d. 25 July 1971, Amravati] was an educationist and scholar. He came from a highly literary family. Famous poet Maulvi Mohammad Ismail Mairathi was hid grandfather. Habib urRahman was a bibliophile and poet whose interests included Philosophy, Urdu literature, History and Religion. His son, Zaka urRahman Siddiqi [Professor of Persian, poet, writer, musician] has compiled and edited his fathers letters to his contemporaries, daughter and son [Zaka Siddiqi] are very interesting besides being scholarly and informative.
