This wide survey on the unique documented and certain civil palace by the Renaissance sienese architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini (1439-1501) starts from the analysis of his training as a painter as well as an idraulic engineer. Is explored the complex of his work as military engineer leaded by Duke of Urbino Federico da Montefeltro and then by the Kings of Napoli, and other italian lords. Then are explored all the classical sources of his architectural inspiration and references connected with his design in Jesi. Finally are scanned all the evolutionary stages of the palace contruction and decoration. The book is supported by a comprehensive appendix referred to historical documents and papers related to the building construction. A folder containing n.15 drawings of architectural surveys of the palace is enclosed to the book in a box.
