Octavio Paz, born in Mexico City in 1914 and winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1990, was one of our great poets and essayists. He is paid tribute here by a score of poets, writers, friends, and scholars from the United States, Europe, and Mexico, including Carlos Fuentes, John Cage, Yves Bonnefoy, Claude Esteban, Kenneth Rexroth, Julio Ortega, and others. Paz died in 1998. Published in paperback as KOSMOS 5-6: Homage to Octavio Paz. Library of Congress Catalog Card Number: 80-82167. 248 pages.
