The book is a genealogical complement to the original family chronicle titled: Lá não existem Flores (Over there ain't no Flowers) also available on the website.

To write about our ancestors is to report a time that will never return, because it’s not our time, is another.We have the impression these stories will plunge in the backcountry novel that slowly build the memory of their ancestors. When we write about someone, even over those who are on the other side, we discover that everything moves by the action of the real, leading us to understand their lives and the faced challenges.Then finally we realized that we are also the authors.

Escrever sobre nossos antepassados é relatar um tempo que não volta mais, que já não é o mesmo, é outro.
A gente tem a impressão que vai mergulhar numa dessas histórias de romance sertanejo que aos poucos vão construindo a memória de seus ancestrais.

Quando escrevemos sobre alguém, mesmo sobre aqueles que estão do outro lado da vida descobrimos que tudo se move pela ação do real levando-nos a entender suas vidas e os desafios que enfrentaram.

Aí percebemos que nós também somos os autores.
