One of 50 copies printed.

Includes: the text of a letter to the Spanish King Charles II by the governor of Florida Diego de Quiroga y Losada dated April 1, 1688 on p. [1-2]; a letter addressed to governor Diego de Quiroga y Losada , dated Feb. 19, 1688, from father Marcelo de S. Joseph (who translated a letter from the Apalachee caciques into Spanish) on p. [3]; a facsimile of the original letter, on two leaves, in the Apalachee language on p. [7-9] followed by a translation of the letter in Spanish signed by Alonsso Solana on p. [11-14]; a letter to governor Diego de Quiroga y Losada dated Feb. 17, 1688 from Francisco de Roxas (who translated a letter from the Timucua caciques into Spanish) on p. [15] followed by the facsimile of the original language, on one leaf, in the Timucua language, on p. [19] followed by a translation of the letter into Spanish, signed by Alonsso Solano, on p. [23-24]

Murphy reading: "These copies (seven sheets) of official documents in the Spanish and in Apalachino and Timuquano, languages of the aborigines of Florida, from his friend Buckingham Smith Paris: Nov. 28 1859.
