Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

William Lloyd Garrison is delighted to hear what Francis Jackson is doing to enlarge the South Cove. He is happy that William A. White has gone on a great western anti-slavery tour. The donation made by Thomas Sturge was liberal and timely, justifying the faith that money would come forth to support the western conventions. Garrison refers to a gift of land made by J. C. Gore and its acquisition in the name of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society. Garrison looks forward to Francis Jackson and Nathaniel P. Rogers visiting Northampton.
