Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Bramhall went to Virginia; while staying at a plantation, they heard of the whipping of a female slave. Mary Weston has a bad cough. Mary Weston gives some family news. She describes Dr. Rutter, a minister from Dorchester. She discusses selling Mrs. Maria Weston Chapman's "Right and Wrong," preparing boxes for an anti-slavery fair, and collecting signatures for a petition. Mary Weston also tells about the different visits she has made.
