Amos Farnsworth compliments the Liberty Bell and says "the tone of Bell must be very excellent & it will give me pleasure to do what I can to help ring it." Farnsworth has not seen Isaac Knapp's circular. He pities Knapp. But Joel Prentiss Bishop "deserves more, unless his conduct is chargeable to insanity." Farnsworth has more sympathy for Elizur Wright, who nature stamped "with the seal of Old Org. Phelps, Stanton, & Co. deceived him."
