Edition Notes

Holograph, signed with initials.

Anne Warren Weston spent the day at Henrietta Sargent's house, where she saw [William] Adams. "He is the most lovely man. I was perfectly smitten with him." Mr. Adams had just returned from England, had traveled with George Thompson, stayed at Darlington with the Peases, and had seen Harriet Martineau. J. A. Collins "reported decidedly that there would be a new organization." Anne mentions the various calls she made. She mentions a board meeting of the Non-Resistance Society and says that Garrison was engaged in getting out the Non-Resisistant.
