Lucia Weston asks Deborah Weston to send certain dressmaking patterns and materials. She complains of a letter from her sister Caroline Weston, who assumed that "we knew all about it." Lucia claims that "we are as ignorant as bears, to be on the safe side, go on the supposition that we know nothing." Lucia is planning to attend an anti-slavery meeting.
