Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

In this letter, Emma Forbes Weston discusses the distribution of slave notices [handbills announcing an anti-slavery meeting possibly in connection with the George Latimer case]. Emma gives some family news and mentions Mrs. Tefiela (spelling?) and a man named Harrison at the Liberator newspaper office. She complains about a letter which N.P. Rogers allowed to be printed in the Herald.
