Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

Caroline Weston is sending a few things, but because of Deborah'a hurried departure for Weymouth a few moments after her own arrival, she has had difficulty in finding things. She exhorts Emma to take great care of herself. Lucia is at Southwicks. Caroline is willing that Emma should stay a few days, if she is not "de trop." She tells of her own many and hurried occupations. She adds in a postscript that on second thought she will walk to Cambridge and get Emma in a day or two.
