Edition Notes

This letter is written on the inside (pages 2-3) of a printed order form. The letter by Caroline Weston, was handwritten by an unknown person, but it is signed "Caroline Weston."

Caroline Weston writes that she has enclosed copies of the Cradle of Liberty, a weekly anti-slavery paper, for the recipient's perusal. She makes a formal request soliciting for voluntary subscriptions to the paper. [The Cradle of Liberty was devoted to the subject of slavery, and composed of articles transferred from the Liberator, with occasional additions, under the editorial supervision of William Lloyd Garrison.]
