Edition Notes

Holograph, signed with initials.

Maria Weston Chapman begins the letter with an account of her activities and her abolitionist friends (including N.P. Rogers, Edmund Quincy, and John A. Collins). Rev. Amos Augustus Phelps claims he established the series of monthly concerts and has objected to another series being given at the same time by the Universalists. Amasa Walker and a man named Sears answered him.
