Edition Notes

Holograph, signed with initials.

Deborah Weston tells of articles sold and a plan for the further sale of items in the room of the New Bedford Female Anti-Slavery Society. Deborah says that the "pressure here in the money market is awful," that even "if the [whale?] oil gets in it won't sell." She briefly alludes to a most awful story "about Nathan Johnson, in respect to the Gibsons." She remarks on local politics. The Bristol County Abolition Society have nominated Wendell Phillips for governor.
