Peace has lately claimed much of Abby Kelley [Foster]'s attention because the anti-slavery cause has gotten in the hands of politicians. She sees difficulties in the way of peace.

In the postscript, Abby Kelley Foster praises Maria W. Chapman's Report to the Boston Female Anti-Slavery Society. She is sending Lydia G. Keene to attend the fair in her stead.
