Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

This letter is concerned with the freight charges for goods sent to Boston. Richard Davis Webb wants to know for future guidance how the goods answer their purpose. He tells about acquaintances. Webb says that "the mischief in America has spread to Great Britain." The banks are closing in Scotland. Webb commends William Lloyd Garrison's letter to the Pennsylvania Anti-Slavery Society.
