Holograph, signed.
Mrs. Sarah N. Macmillan refers to a request that Mr. Parker Pillsbury made that if a fair was held in Salem, Ohio, "'they would be to receive from the goods contributed to the Boston Bazaar some assistance.'" Sarah N. Macmillan hoped to receive such help, "supposing tha tthe object of the Fair was assist the State Society, auxilery [sic] to the American A.S. Society." The goods never arrived, but now they have learned that a box of Boston goods was sent to the society in Cincinnati, "which as no connection whatever with old organised antislavery." Sarah N. Macmillan thinks that there was probably a mistake and that the goods were intended for Salem instead of Cincinnati.
The accompanying envelope has the delivery address: Anne W. Weston, Weymouth, Massachusetts.
