William Lloyd Garrison says that the weather is mild and pleasant and there is sufficient snow for sleighing parties in the evening. He was sorry to hear of Henry Villard's illness. He attended the funerals of Charles Lenox Remond, Sarah M. Grimké, and a brother of Harriet S. Jacobs. Theodore D. Weld spoke at Sarah M. Grimké's funeral. Garrison says: "While I am writing, Lizzie Simmons has come in to exchange the congratulations of the season." William L. Garrison wants to see his grandson, Oswald Garrison Villard. Wiliam L. Garrison tells about Christmas at Rockledge.
