Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

Esther Sturge says that on this day £100 were sent from her brothers and herself and will be remitted to F. Jackson. Her "dearest J[oseph]" is again ill and recovering from a serious attack eight days ago. Elizabeth Pease Nichol has sent £20 to Edinburgh to E. Wigham, with the hope that E. Wigham "may get a little more to add to it." Esther Sturge is glad that "you have all escaped that dreadful scourge" which is cholera.
