William Lloyd Garrison gives his views on the way to attain world peace. He thinks that the cause of peace is advancing. Garrison writes: "I am not for the peace that is at war with common sense; that does not strike back simply through indolence or timidity; ..." Garrison cannot attend the anniversary meeting of the Universal Peace Society.
