Edition Notes

Holograph, signed "Your loving Father."

William Lloyd Garrison discusses the date of Francis Jackson Garrison's arrival in New York. William L. Garrison thinks that Francis J. Garrison should wait to come to New York until just before the steamship sails to avoid incurring additional expenses. William L. Garrison will take with him medicine for his kidney trouble. The weather is still very hot. William L. Garrison writes: "Harry [Villard] is trying to arrange his affairs so as to be off for Colorado by the first of June."

Accompanied by an envelope addressed to: Francis J. Garrison, Riverside Press, Cambridge, Mass.
