Edition Notes

Copy of letter, in the hand of another person.

William Lloyd Garrison congratulates Samuel May Jr. on his sixty-third birthday. He disagrees with those who resent the approach of old age. He comments on Samuel May Jr.'s labors in the anti-slavery cause and other reform movements. Garrison sends Samuel May Jr.'s mother his "warmest regards."
